Cobra and other non invasive bracing devices

Location
NJ
I am try to get some feedback and info from people that have used these as well as the traditional 7 strand steel cable. I am hoping to have my company switch to the Cobra but we don't know anything about it.

What is the time difference if any for installation?
Are customers as willing to go for non invasive even though it is more expesive?
Can it be done with just one guy in the tree or do you need 2? I know it is easier sometimes with 2 but not needed all the time will steel cable.
What non invasive system was easier to use and learn to do if you have tried multiple systems?

Any info is greatly apprectated.

Put in hundreds of steel, ditto cobra, not so much libra, now we use guardian. Much easier & faster to put in plus the cost of materials are alot less so its easier to sell a support system of multiple cables. I hate cables but I/we have installed many. 1 competent climber can do it all and it should cost you much less time and money

Could someone please provide links, pics, vid and stuff like that for the different types of cabling and how you use them ... cabling is rare here ... only one place sells Cobra and that's like bloody expensive and I have no idea what you get or how it works ...

... what's the other stuff etc, and here's a link to our rip off prices.

Skip the cobra. If you are new to dynamic systems, the lube and dildos can be a bit akward.

I like libre and GEFA. Far faster to install than cobra though I think the cobra line would last longer judging from the hundreds of cabling systems I have replaced.

We´ve been trying out Tree Save lately and are quite happy with that. You can find a description on Drayers homepage www.drayer.de
The sleeves are equipped with a blue marker that turns red when it is time to change the system, this is visable from the ground. Makes things easier.
One climber can install one in less than an hour.

lube and dildos? i thought this thread was about cabling

Cobra can be a little akward but it's not half as bad as steel cables, also the dildos make a handy cosh if your in a dodgy downtown area.

Which one of you Brits was it that had a car full of cable installation stuff abandoned on an off-road trail a while back?

I have done some strange cobra brace jobs, one a huge veteran Oak that had lost a rather large limb, (summer limb drop). For some reason we had to reduce the top of the canopy and then put the braces in, the ground under the tree was used as a car park for a bowling club so soil compaction was a real issue that was somehow over looked.
