Has anyone tried these this winter, and if so, how did you get on? Do you have any improvements that we should start working on to have ready for next winter?
Always keen to improve products!

Apparently -30C is the coldest they can be comfortably used without needing baselayers, and they have been used with baselayers down to as low as -45C!
Love to know if anyone has beat that[emoji38]

Oh f that shit…. That cold and I’m more worried about survival than working

Hahahaha definitely quite unique people that can cope in that sort of weather[emoji38]. Apparently the pants are around 1/3 lighter than the outer layers some people were using previously, before taking chainsaw protection and the baselayers that they use into account as well! They are an amazing pant, but you really don’t want to be wearing them above 40f!

I'd love to try them here. -40 C tonight with the wind chill. If I had a pair earlier this winter I could have tried them in -50C. Not done yet. We may see more cold again soon.

Good grief. Do you still run a saw in that weather!

If you don't do that here sometimes you won't work for 4 week straight. So yes we will. Sometimes we're just pruning and only using a top handle though and not the warmer work saws.

Hey Pete! I gotta be honest, I love my Clogger Zeros, and I just wear a base layer underneath them. I have been working comfortably in my Zeros with a base layer in -30°C the past several winters. However, I did check out the Embers at the TCIA show and they seem pretty fantastic. I just don’t feel like I can justify the price when I’d only wear them for 2 months out of the year.

The Embers are definitely warmer and are not a year round pant. But there is something to be said for a cold weather work pant. I love my clogger zeros but in sub 20*F (particularly on windy days) areas with less of the chain saw protection are a fair bit colder than the rest of my pants, in particular my rear. Not to mention a cold 35* wet day, like not frozen just very damp cold, a truly rain proof pant plays a big role in warmth.

@CloggerPete I didn't realize you were here on the buzz. Funny running into you here! - Andre Sprague

Hey bro!!! I pop in here occasionally, just because I don’t spend enough time online as it is[emoji1787] I am on so many forums and chats that I struggle to keep up with them all! Love the Tree Buzz though[emoji16]
