Climbright pads + bucklite spurs

October of 2014 I paired climbright pads to my two year old Bucklite spurs using the supplied hardware. After (I'm guessing) 40-80hrs on the combo the bolts pulled out of the threads on my right spur. Kinda a puckering moment at 60' off the ground on a dead spruce. Broke away when the groundie locked up the log and all my weight shifted onto that spur. Maybe I just ate a big breakfast.
I replaced the hardware with grade 8 bolts, no issues since. More than anything wanted to toss that out there in case anyone else is running this pairing. Honestly I was suspect of the hardware when I put it on, barely 3/16" of threads buried on a #10 bolt. The thread side is a toothed insert instead of a nut/washer combo. The left spur had signs of wear on the bolts when I pulled them out too.

I had a similar issue...
The small bolts didn't fill the space in one of the holes, spur holes I think. It was loose. I ended up using a larger set of bolts, maybe 3\16" diameter, that came with the pads. I drilled and tapped the shank of the spurs. I haven't had an issue since. The titanium was a PITA to tap though.

I love the combo though. I think it easily rivals the geckos.

Water based synthetics are best for Titanium and when tapping you want about 65% thread as compared to 75% thread like with steel.
