I was thinking about making a bridge for my master II and was wondering if anyone had recommendations on what rope to use. I had thought about using bee line and splicing it on using a locking brummel. Would this be okay to climb on as far as safety? Also would that diameter of rope be alright or would a larger diamer be better suited?

If I get what your trying to do, I did it to my versitile. All I did was hang a glide bridge from the widest pockets w/rated screw links. Everything is rated and it passed tech at ontario competition.

you could always go for the double fisherman's approach (9mm technora or something) if you weren't sure of the splicing bury etc..

There's a bridge near Victoria that I've climbed. There are 30' stone footings that make a kind of natural/man made climbing wall. Just top rope into the superstructure and you're all set.
i was actually thinking about doing the same thing. i don't see anything wrong with it. my foreman did this with some 8mm accessory cord he had laying around. hasn't had any problems yet not even any wear and he's used the same length of cord since december. he just went with double fishermans because he isn't too confident with splicing. i've been using a the glide bridge for mine but it looks pretty much obliterated after six months and i've been kicking myself for spending that kind of money for it when i could have just spent $5 for a couple of feet tech cord or something.

Beeline? Looks good and feels great, but a smoked thru it in a couple of weeks! Maybe for a bridge but i'm all about the HRC!

PUClimber, I made my first one with Scaffold knotted 7/16ths Sta-set X. I didn't wear it out but replaced it with Locking Brummel spliced Tenex. I haven't worn that out either but Tenex does wear faster than a Dbl braid....On the other hand it is cheap and easy to splice.
