Zeb is doing well Aron. It's crazy to think that it's been almost five years since the end of Zeb's cancer treatment. There aren't many people who can say that they survived stage four brain cancer. I was driving in my truck after Zeb had been suffering quite a bit. The verse of the day on a radio program was:

Boomslang you can't stick the Crimes of Islam and Catholicism onto Jesus. Especially considering Catholics most heinous crimes were done against Christians simply for Claiming Jesus to be their Authority not Rome. Also it was Christians who ended Slavery.

Christians are far from innocent. The crusades, colonialism, modern socio-religious meddling all have Christian fingerprints on them and have caused much bloodshed.

Did Christianity end slavery before or after they enslaved countless Jews and Muslims? Because for much of its history slavery of non-Christians was perfectly acceptable.

Also, Catholics are Christians. So yes, the crimes of Catholics are the crimes of Christians and Jesus.

Bad business to not evolve with the times. The core of his teachings are generally good, people and organized ideological groups are often corrupted though.

To be clear. I don't not feel "Jesus is no good". I do not have enough evidence to form a solid opinion one way or the other about a single person who lived 2000 years ago.

What I do believe I have read and seen enough evidence of is the actions taking by his followers in his name. And many of those people were/are no good.

I can admit fault for grouping people under one banner and labelling them. Not all Christians are bad, but those that feel it is their right to dictate how others live are. The church wields incredible influence and they are guilty of using that influence for nefarious reasons.

In summation, I do not believe faith itself is evil or bad. I do believe organized religion is a scourge upon humanity.

We don't think all too differently, four years ago I left the building and began worshipping God in Spirit and Truth with like minded believers in our own homes. Not having a building to pay for or a Sunday morning show to put on really frees you up to obey Jesus.

Jesus of course had a rather harsher view of the religious Pharisees of his day than Boomslang does, with a promise at the end of the whole chapter of Matthew 23 that came about just as he foretold, and another that remains to be seen.
