Nick, same as muesli above, no help. I was wondering about your chest harness, though. That does not look like any run of the mill harness, am I correct? It looks almost as though there is a solid metal piece going across the front of it. Is that the harness I've seen that actually incorporates a roller system up front?
A critical step in your process that you showed, but did not really foot-stomp, is the fact that your climbing rope is being captured by the carabiner or whatever it is that is on the front of your chest harness.
The fact that the rope is captured by the chest harness is critical, in that it is this that allows you to easily stay in a vertical orientation as you climb, and relieves you of having to strain to pull yourself into the rope before throwing your arms up for the next grab.
I would think you'd need a strong piece of hardware at the front of your shoulder harness to capture the rope and hold all of your body weight. An accessory biner wouldn't cut the mustard, correct?
In conclusion, your setup looks about as energy efficient and comfortable as anything I can imagine. Thanks for showing it to us. Also, California looks really beautiful.
