Doing first oil change on bc935 that I just bought. Takes 15-40 and have tons of chevron delo. Will this oil be ok instead of a CS-1 grade oil?

Yes, it has the Perkins. Thanks for the input. I know I’m probably being paranoid, I just want to make sure I’m putting the right stuff inIs the engine a diesel? If so, it should be just fine, Delo is a diesel oil.
Yeah just used the delo. I misspelled that. I meant CI. After a more thorough google searched I learned the ck delo surpasses all standards of the CI. It’s the first chipper I’ve owned since starting my own company so I’m still getting all the maintenance details figured out and really want to make sure I’m doing it properly so your help is very much appreciated. You probably are, pretty much all modern oils from the big name manufacturers are fairly equivalent. We have a Bandit 1590 with a Perkins that has 7800 hours, and has never been rebuilt. For the last 3k hours at least it’s been given a steady diet of Warren 15w-40 synthetic oil and its been quiten happy.
What is CS-1 oil exactly, anyway? I can’t find anything about such an oil even existing, the two letters are actually contradictory unless there’s a new class of oil I’ve never heard of. Usually “C” oils are for compression ignition engines, and “S” oils are for spark ignition engines.
That makes more sense. And yes, CK is superior to CI rated oil, CK is the newest level of standard.Yeah just used the delo. I misspelled that. I meant CI. Thanks again!
