An arborist certification preparatory course will be offered this spring (2011)in Minnetonka, MN. The course will cover all relevent topics for the exam with a different expert speaker each week. Each of the eleven class periods is two hours in length beginning at 7:30 am on January 14, 2011. See the attached flier for additional information.

Looks like a good lineup. One topic a week allows more depth by spreading out the studying, which is the whole point of certification imo.

So am I reading this right it's $85.00 for the class and $100.00 for the study guide book and thats it no other cost's to get the CERT.
For clarification, the cost of the course alone is $85.00, a textbook is another $100.00 The cost of sitting for the exam is seperate and paid to the International Society of Arboriculture. For example, attending the class and ordering a text book would be $185.00. The cost of the exam ranges depending upon whether the individual is an ISA member, local chapter member, and the form of test desired etc. Sorry for the confusion.
The course fee is $85.00, no purchase of the textbook is necessary.
