Cape parrot breeding project

This is a short vid/doco of a project we are working on in South Africa. The Cape Parrot is a crtically endangered parrot (less than 1000 in the wild) and we have been installing nesting boxes in the politsi valley were we have monitored a flock of nearly 100 birds. The native habitat of the cape is the Yelowwood tree that have all been pretty much logged, trees are more than just lumber to be felled. With luck and good positioning we will see mating pairs using the nest boxes, we return in february to continue monitoring and install some more. thanks.

Nice Drew, the people need to know. Great footage, professional video all the way through. You've got the dream job, someone's got to do it, awesome to ride along. What a fun mission and travel.

Gotta say big thanks to David Wiles who i go to Africa with and co runs explore-trees. Hes the man behind the editing of the S.Africa vids, i just climb and shoot some footage(with him) for him and just general good stuff in SA. Huge thanks to him.
