I had a high wind up here and I've been left with a bunch of large white spruce with a nasty hook. Have the fibers been stretched or snapped? How much can this weaken the tree?

Who frickn knows eh? I'll just keep climbing every tree like an individual hazard evaluation.

Worked a tornado cleanup last spring, somewhat similar heh. Anyway not to sure about strength vs. weakness, but trees that hat no load whatsoever put on them ie. debris,other broken trees, the fibers of the tree were under imense stress and appeared "tweaked" once cut. Lots of hinge, Tag lines and as long as the things not uprooted or cracked sounds like its good to go.
