butterfly II vs. arbormaster glide saddle

I am interested in purchasing one of these saddles just seeing if anyone had any positive or negative feedback on either one. Thanks

i love my butterfly II...you will prolly make a few adjustments to get it the way you want but when you get it...oh it feels so good. i have only sat in the glide never climbed on it...but that is because i found my other lady love first and she doesn't dissapoint.

I have climbed on them both. Spent more time on the glide since I bought one fairly cheap. The range of motion is greater on the BII.

I have sat in a glide and did not like the buckels, hard for me to open and get out of the harness when my hands were sore.

i really like my butterfly, light weight and the gear loops are almost in the right place for me.

see you in the trees KY here i come

At least 80% of the people who try a Bfly II love it. Most comments about the Glide from Glide owners are "It's okay...but....". I have never climbed on either but I think I would prefer to try the Bfly if trying means buying.

I've hardly ever heard a negative comment on the BFII, but have heard several about the Glide. My question is if the BFII slides up the legs when you are 'sitting' in it, I can't stand that feeling of straps going up my crotch and thus have the batten...

cool, thanks for the input guys. sounds like the BFII is the way to go. one other question, does anyone know if the micro mouse pulley would work on the bridge of the BFII

you can order the bridge, which is the flat webbing in two sizes 11 or 9 inch or is that 11.5 and 9.5 - OR you might ask them to put on a rope bridge - i purchased from Fresco and they were great and very helpful, since I was uncomfortable doing the switch, i order the short bridge, they did that for me.

IF you can get with someone or someplace, i know that some Vermeer places carry the glide, sit and hang in them both. Believe me that helped me.

With either of these harnesses, make sure you get the right size for your frame. Cranking down a larger harness puts the suspension in less than optimal places, which often leads to placing support in wrong or uncomfortable places.

Its not like the line from "Are You Being Served", that your harness will "ride up with wear." --- or likely, it will. And wear it will.

If you would look at the next price point, I would also suggest the TreeFlex. From my experience, I had moments that I was aware I was in wearing it for what its supposed to do, but not feeling like it was hanging off me; like it was working FOR me. I was IN my system and not wearing it. Similarly, but I've not spent as much time in a TreeMotion-- they get out of your way. Amortize the additional cost over the life of the saddle, and thus your career, and your life will be better.
