Bucket Truck Operators Needed in North Louisiana

Excellent job opportunities for EXPERIENCED Bucket Truck Operators/Climbers in Northern Louisiana with CDL. Pay based on experience and job performance. Experienced persons need only inquire...no "on the job" training. My company has (3) bucket trucks, (2) loader/dump trucks & 18-wheeler, crane, tractors, along with various other equipment. Most of our work is done with bucket trucks, so climbing is not very common around here and is actually avoided as much as possible due to the risk factors involved. My company is the largest tree service outfit in our metropolitan area of around 100,000 people, so work is steady throughout the year! I do a heavy volume amount of work, but SAFETY is first and key! Extensive knowledge of knots, cuts, rigging, and safe usage of a bucket truck are crucial to these open positions. My company is a residential tree service, not a line-clearing company...there is a big difference, and your knowledge of tree surgery must be catered to this area of expertise. This is a DRUG-FREE workplace. Must have own transportation to and from work. If you don't have a problem showing up for a full workweek and are a steady, hard worker, shoot me a message for more details...or call (800)448-3170.

What climbing risk are involved in your area that are not present in all other areas? Seems as if you just need a really good climber to find out that a bucket will sit obselete about 1/2 the time.

FlashTree, good climbers around these parts are extremely hard to come by, meaning I have been hard-pressed to find one that doesn't have at least one of the following issues: 1. A drinking problem, 2. A drug issue, 3. Doesn't want to show up for work everyday, 4. Doesn't have the "diva-climber" attitude problem, and 5. Doesn't have problems with the "law" (warrants, etc.).

Sure, I could do all the climbing myself, but I also have a day-to-day business to run as well. I do climb work projects; however, not that much in my market. I find that bucket truck work is much faster than climbing, no offense. Most of the yards around here can be accessed with a bucket truck and I have 3 of them, so why not? I don't find that the bucket truck sits idle, half the time...but, that's just me.

In my market, my daily profits are consistently higher, using a bucket truck versus climbing. Then, again, my prices are considerably higher for climb work. Just saying...it's all a matter of preference...no one is right or wrong.
