Broke the torsion axle on the bandit 1890

What a joke.. These should not be offered on a single axle. Its to much weight. Sticking a single axle and trying to make it under cdl is not safe.. O well puting20170708_145919.webp the crane to good use, lol!
 
Did you go with a heavier axle? A lot of earlier chippers were lacking in the axle department, I wouldn't be surprised if that was a 7k or 8k axle when an 8k or 9k would have been a lot better fit for the conditions.
 
I do want to mention the part number that was listed in the owner's manual is not the correct one on the older machines, they changed the mounting brackets making it 6 inches thinner. luckily I was at the factory and they made me a new one while I waited a few hours. It sure was worth driving two and a half hours versus paying $104 to get it shipped. Bandit needs to get their stuff straight before writing down a part number in the parts manual and then changing it after certain year
