This is a short review of the Double Bag; an easy way to store two separate throwlines. Each line can be used without disturbing the other. With its smooth sides and slim profile, the bag is designed to fit easily into any gear bag. I've tried it and it works really well in the woods and rough ground. It will blow away in the wind but it's easier to weight it down than the throwline cubes.
This is actually a pretty neat product idea from TreeStuff.com … but, there had to be some chuckling about the name … LOL

so the cool thing about this bag is there are pockets for five weights, you can have your 16 oz, your 8 oz. and whatever in between, your rope knight, or palm bullet. putting away the throw line is faster than a cube because you don't have to worry about missing the cube. So far, I am a huge fan. I haven't dealt with it in the wind, in fact I've only dealt with it in my living room... but so far I am very impressed with the design. the zipper worries me just because i never have good luck with zippers, but they are nice, when the zipper goes ill sew on some straps or something. in the meantime ill be conscious of not overstuffing it and forcing the zipper. But this is really what I want. There was an australian guy who made something somewhat similar years ago and he had some interesting shaped throw balls as well I forget the name of it.

This may seem like a stupid question but.......I only use one size throw weight. I have narrowed it down to what works best for me. What are the cases you drop down sizes in throw bags when hand throwing? I can consistently hit about 90' with a 14oz. Is there a benefit I haven't ever thought about for multiple sized weights?

It seems like it will be important flake the throwline into the center of the sheet, so that not much gets flipped over onto itself when the two sides are folded in. Any part of the pile that gets flipped over on itself when the sides are initially brought in are going to remain like that after you open the double bag.

i pretty much always use a 12 oz. but a 16 oz for double bagging or isolating or particularly rough barked trees. An 8 or 10 I can heave a bit higher but its risky that they don't come back down
