BOLA & Lanyard

So.... bought a bola from Donny a while back and finally finished the new lanyard to go into it....



Got the spring clip off... the chain link won’t release. I feel I’m doing something wrong when 3 of the 4 holes are free, but the 4th won’t allow the link to slide out (the one with the bushing).
Any help is appreciated @surveyor... maybe.

the reason that that the link will not come out is because I use red locktite on the bushing.

Ahhhh. That would explain why it won’t come out. I guess I will have to try it on a different lanyard for now.
