I know this has come up in the forum but I can't find it. Samson whoopie instructions say 1 1/4 fids from mark "e" to "d" for the adjustable loop bury. I've heard that for a Loopie this should be longer. Anyone know how much longer?

The first few I made, I adjusted the bury to give the smallest length I wanted.

Pretty sure you double the bury on a loopie.

I use 1 1/2 to 2 fid for the cross over.

Oh sorry about those whoopie instructions. There very similar with two back splices and a longer cross over. Agree with Raj 1 1/2 to 2 fid. Here's an old link with splice master Nick suggesting 2 fid lengths.
