Bird Transplant - - not really a “rescue”

I was up cleaning gutters today, prior to a heavy rain.
I found a bird nest, in the valley corner, right in the deflector. (Terrible place for a nest)
Two live chicks (one other dead & kicked out).
I moved the nest to the ground, adjacent to the house foundation & a downspout for protection.
Mother actually found them, & is feeding.
Mother is very small, dark grey, w/ yellow beak; w/ a nice, quick, high pitch “chip, chip, chip”.
I have forgotten my bird ID’s.

They seem to like the new gutters that I had installed 2 years ago; the gutters do have leaf screens ? ? ?

Gotta take care of the birds, even when they might get upset with you for invading their privacy up in the trees!

I had one that flew into my garage and was hovering at the window but couldn’t find its way out because there is shelving right up against that wall where the window is. So I stuck a broom handle in there very carefully and the bird hopped on and let me pull it out and carry it out of the garage.

My employee also had a recent bird “rescue” where there was a little baby that had gotten injured, so he did what he could for it and just recently saw it fly out of the house for what looked like the first time.

Sadly, after 3 days, the chicks are both gone.
They were too young / small to fly or hop away.
Racoon, fox, hawk, owls, etc. :(
