Best saw on the spar

I could not live without one anymore...true love :-)

I pretty sure I am the 1st one to start advocating them on here. Many doubters back then. Seems so toy like.

no comparison on handling... that is what this saw is all about. It is a scalpel like instrument.

192 was a bomb for arbs. New 193...jury is still out I believe.

After my top handle saw, I often want a light 20" saw. I've been using a ms261, but I'm thinking the 550xp might be better. Here's why. 20" is on the long side for these saws, but the Husky comes stock with a narrow kerf bar; it's hard to find a narrow kerf bar in that length for the Stihl. Thoughts?

I don't think narrow kerf is going to make that big of a difference. I'm running 3/8's on a 550xp. Granted the saw is ported but even stock it would pull it just fine. I ran the same setup on a dolmar 5100s and it pulled it great too. I think the biggest thing is how you tune the chain and the rim sprocket you use. If I keep the rakers too low it will definitely loose rpm's in the harder woods.

I got a 362 with 20 bar. Most times its enough. When not, then i use a 441 with 25 bar. Just love the 362, got myself a second one now. Now ones for my groundi and the second one for me.
