Best rain gear?

Well, the rain's already starting and I'm looking at my old rain gear and thinking that it might be time to replace them. So I was wondering what everyone here uses for rain gear. I currently use Gill rain gear (designed for fishermen/boaters) and have to say I'm quite impressed. I've had my current set through 2 seasons, and the rainy season here is not friendly, or short. My gear could probably make it through another season, but I like to get my gear when I can, vs when I have to.

I've never been a fan of rain gear. It helps with precipitation but not persperation so either way, you end up wet.

I'm a big fan of rei's event fabric clothing. Very mobile, extremely tough and it breaths. It is expensive but a great fabric to wear for 6 months out of the year and can be worn everyday of the week.

And with rei's 5 year customer satisfaction guarentee, if your not happy, bring em back for another pair (you have to be an rei member for this goodness, costs 25 bucks but you get good discounts and great deals)
