Meaning what?Does jobber have an accounting interface?
I've seen some advertisement for Arborgold. Has anyone used that?
Meaning accounting, income, expenditures, taxes, payroll, itemization and cost tracking per job. Basically everything you'd do with a program like quickbooks.Meaning what?
Jobber is good.
We have been using jobber for over a year now and love it. It is really easy to fix the total or remove/adjust the tax.@Steve Pikes Tree Care you made several great points that with my small company I didn't even think of. I have only tried Sprout, but work with guys that use Jobber, quickbooks and others. And as a customer I get frustrated when I have to call them and tell them to take the tax off, or fix the total. I too run my business from the kitchen table. I literally spent 2 days last fall inputting customers and jobs, but after a couple, things got really easy. Its very intuitive. And when I did have an issue and quick email or call to Christian had the problem solved in short work. Extremely good customer service.
Whats the big difference between Jobber and Sprout? I know nothing about sprout.I know this thread basically died in a couple weeks ago, but, I wanted to confirm what flying squirrel said. We were the original beta testing company for Arbor Gold Sprout, there is no other software, for under 25 employee, tree care companies out there like Sprout! We have been using it since the end of last September, it is incredible! We were formerly with Servsuite, and hated it. It is quite possibly the most fully functional, easiest to use, practical, and cheapest software on the face of the planet. Arbor Gold knew that they were getting a bad rap for great software but really high price, so they created sprout. As of now, there's not a lot of press, but my gut tells me that half the tree care companies in America will be using this thing in the next two years. The problem with most software companies is the designers think they get a prize for the more things the software can do, which means that most of us only end up using about 10% of any particular piece of software, and 90% of it goes unused cause the average Joe can't figure it out. Also, they brag about how there are 10 ways to do one thing, I don't want 10 ways to do one thing, I want to find the best way and make that really simple. Christian Elpers and his crew at Arbor Gold finally got it, they designed arborist software for the guy that is still running his company from his kitchen table! BTW, I don't get a commission from these guys, I just think it is head and shoulders above everything else that is out there(and we have tried several of them)! Also, we run six daily crews on average and the software suits us perfectly. I think it cost $60 a month For the first user and $10 for every user after that, there is no contract, there is no initial startup fee, no $800 training fee (if the software is so complicated that you have to charge money to train people to use it, then it's crappy software), you can probably figure this thing out and in a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon. I wish this had been around when it was me and three guys out doing tree work every day, good stuff!
