Bartlett Arborist Supply is proud to announce the Bartlett Tree Jam 2012.

The tree jam is a competition based solely around having fun and sharing new techniques with each other. On August 4th 2012, Bartlett Arborist Supply will be hosting the Bartlett Tree Jam in the city of Port Huron, Michigan. The event will take place in beautiful Pine Grove Park located on the St. Clair River.

The events will be as follows
Work Climb, Speed Climb, Aerial Rescue, Throw line, and an Open Ascent / Footlock

The park also holds the St. Clair County Champion Red Oak so keep your eyes peeled for that monster as you enter the park! It might turn out to be the Masters Tree.

General rules will apply. Remember this event is a fun event and that new techniques are highly encouraged to be shared with other competitors.

This event will be great for first time competitors as well as seasoned competitors. This will be a perfect last minute comp for training and dialing in all your gear and configurations before heading to Portland. All climbers are welcome and we encourage everyone to bring their friends and family for this event.

Entry fee is $45 and this includes your shirt, lunch, and insurance for the day.
1st place for male and female will receive a prestigious award that was generously donated by Metal Sculptures by Craig Bradshaw.

Feel free to email me if you have questions or for info on entering the Bartlett Tree Jam!!!

This is a non sanctioned event and not endorsed by the ISA.

More info to be posted in the near future.

I hope and truly believe that everyone that is able to make it will be pleasntly suprised with the tree and the area. It should be a great time for everyone.

Wish I could go. I'd of tried to change up the rules in the AR or work climb, but not tell the climbers, just to piss Riggs off (which isn't too hard to do these days).

Carry on, my friends. See you in Portland!

A supply shop hosting a TCC? That's a great idea.

So why can't the North American TCC get their act together without piggybacking on another chapter?

Registration has begun for the Tree Jam. Please contact me through email if you are interested in climbing in this event. The registration deadline is July 14th, 2012.
Thanks to everyone that has shown interest and the climbers we already have. This should be a great event.

Cory - I was hoping to see some of the Limbwalkers up this way for the Tree Jam. Im sure you could hop on in with Mr. Hattier when he's cruisin' past your shop on the way up north!

Updates on the TREE JAM!!!

First and foremost we have plenty of sponsors for the event and would like to thank them all for their support. Bartlett Arborist Supply, ABR, ISC, Donaghys, Fanno, Timberline Tree Service, AJBC Photography, J&A Tree Solutions, Guardian Tree Experts, AArons Tree Service, and Jones Equipment Rental!

Without these sponsors the event wouldn't be anything. Thank you all very much for your generosity.

In other news: Every competitor will be receiving an Armor Prus eye to eye hitch cord generously donated by Donaghys and none other than ABR!

Registration for this event will be ending this weekend so any last minute climbers need to please contact me ASAP!!! Thanks again everyone for their support and interest in this event!!

We actually have quite a few climbers from Ohio coming for the Tree Jam.
Joe Russell and company are heading up as well as the one and only Matt Cornell!

We also have a handful of climbers coming from Iowa to come have an awesome time with us in Michigan! Thanks again to everyone who is coming up and everyone for making this happen!

Jake - you and Autumn did a great job on the Tree Jam! Jeff and I wanted to congratulate you on your success! And, as always, it is such a pleasure to be with all the "Tree People!" Rachel sends a special thank you to you and Autumn for hosting the Tree Jam!! She said it was right on top as one of the best days of her life!! And, then she fell asleep in the truck on the way home! LOL!!
Jeff and I would like to thank everyone there for sharing their knowledge and experience with Rachel. As Rachel put it, "I have a new "family tree"! Wow, tree people are the best!" Congrats to all the winners!
