Bandit 65xl?

Any difference between the 65xl and 65xp? Just an older model?
I've been looking at a used 2008 65xl for sale (1200hrs, 35hp Wisconsin) posted for $9k and looks pretty clean for the age. How's that sound price wise? I may eventually want a larger chipper, but currently I can scatter brush, leave/haul firewood, or sub out chipping on a lot of jobs around here. So I'm thinking for now that a 6-7" machine could fill a niche for some of my jobs (chip brush on site, haul or leave wood). I've read a lot of threads on here where it seems like the Bandit 65 and 75 are the best options for the size.

There is also this 75xp for sale, but it's a very long drive from here and almost 2x the cost: https://www.stephensonequipment.com...ent?dlr=1&dscompanyid=3312&settingscrmid=2094

Bigger is better, but small and light have its place.
I’d rather have a 9” with 35hp any day than a 6” with 35 Hp any day [I’d just use it as a 6” with a could extra inches in either dimension for crotches and secondary laterals]
The specs vary wildly from generation to generation and sub model to sub model. Each with their own options.
Things to look at with a small chipper are:
HP
Distance from feed wheels to knives
Width of infeed hopper
Single or dual infeed wheels
Throat width of infeed wheels (some are 6 tall and 9 wide etc) [wider is better!]
Clutch or direct drive
Weight some little ones are light enough to pick up the tounge and push it around on level ground by hand.

Get the highest hp possible, widest infeed, widest throat, shortest distance between infeed and knives. Auto feed is a HUGE bonus, and can nearly double work speeds.

I got a quote for a new 75xp a few years ago for well over 35k.
Yup and there was a little attitude with the pricing. The quotes I got was 10k price hike between a 65 to 75. And then 3-5k between a 75 and 95. And 7k between a 75 and 12.
