Bandit 1390 XP problems

Been here a while
I’ve been having some problems with my chipper recently. It is a Bandit 1390 XP (2016) with the Perkins 854E diesel. It will chip small limbs just fine but if really loaded with a big arm load of brush or chipping wood it throws a code and really bogs down. The local Perkins dealer has been working on it for 1 month and still haven’t made any forward progress. The chipper has been returned to me 3 times at this point with them saying “we think we are good to go” and then we get it on a job site and it throws a code again.

The code is for a fuel rail valve that bleeds off extra pressure. It has been replaced once with no change. They’ve also replaced the fuel pressure pump, fuel rail sensor, and a few other parts with no change.

Anybody have this problem? Ideas? Basically right now my machine is an 8000 pound 4” brush chipper. I could be pulling around a 6” chipper and doing the same thing it can do right now. Normally I can stuff it with my Avant and it just eats all day.

Help!

I know very little about diagnosing and working on engines. Because you seem lost as to a solution, I'll throw my hat in the ring as a very amateur mechanic. I did a bit of googling and found this video explaining what to check on an automotive fuel rail code error.

If you pay attention at the 3:15 mark, he describes the symptoms that you do. Bogging down when a load is applied. Not sure if these low/high fuel pump setups are the same for gas and diesel engines but maybe it'll get you closer to a solution.
