Axmen

I have to be honest we you, A Beranek Productions DVD is much more interesting to watch for me than that show was.

That doesn't mean that I did not like it or won't watch it. I just think that Jerry's work is better and more interesting.

I haven't watched any more than the ads. I may if it can get beyond the macho stuff and the impending doom. For me it only illustrates how different the worlds of logging and arboriculture are.

I don't have cable. So I was thinking about buying the DVD set at the History Channel site. $29.00 pre order now for August release. But the more reviews I hear about the show the less I feel it would be worth the time to even watch.

My friend Steve Van Horn said he looked at a million board feet of old growth to cut. Which may sound like a lot, but if the trees average 5 thousand feet he could cut it in about 5 weeks. Now that would make a good video without all the hype..

If he is going to cut it, then you should tape it. Your work is the best Jer!

If you guys haven't seen Gerry's dvd's yet you are really missing out on some awesome work. The Old Growth one is amazing.

Makes Axemen look like just another reality show.

Well I'll give 2 thumbs up for the second show. They gave a good example of domino felling and "climbing," LOL. I think it's gonna pan out to be an interesting series.

After watching last nights show someone needs some new climbing gear.

Yeah you got to love the tapeing of the spur strap to keep it from coming undone. I am also shocked to see that hardly anyone on that show wears any type of safety glasses.

That poor kid had to spur up 40 feet and set that cable. I don't think he wanted anything to do with it, but the camera was their. My question is who climbed up and cut off the braches and the top? What's that kid going to do when he has to climb 100-150 feet. Gotta give it to him though, he did get up their!!!!!

Yeah I liked that part and this is turning out to be an intresting show. I like the small oops they have makes them sound more like reall ppl not all show rigged to make it look real. I like the show some of the comments made are great, and the crew using the WWII tank chasie is great that is awsome.
