The same sort of person who poisoned the Treaty Oak in Austin.

This fella should be easy to track down. Using phones leaves rat tracks that can be followed back. when he goes to trial lets hope that the judge decides that the killed have the same status as historic buildings instead of just trees. That's what happened to the Treaty Oak killer. He did a long sentence in prison. If it was 'just' a tree he would have gotten a shorter sentence and likely been paroled from the county jail early.

possible mitigation?

air knife while another guy uses a very high power vacume to suck up the loose soil that the air knife creates. Then replace soil.

Another loser who can't handle losing. Man, it's only a game...what's with people?

Thanks for the link. I briefly read about this yesterday from one of the few I follow on Twitter. And wanted a better article page layout to link to. Because I have a web page about why some redwoods are kept secret, and I add these kinds of examples to it to get the point across.
