Asheville Arborists, located in Asheville, NC, is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated career minded climbing arborist and to join our crew immediately for full time employment. Asheville Arborists is a small tree care company that is rapidly growing. Our focus is on completing jobs safely, while leaving minimal impact.
An ideal candidate would have the following
2+ years of climbing experience, on and off spikes
A positive attitude towards safety and good PPE habits
Ability to work in accordance with OSHA and ANSI safety standards
Ability to work as a team player, switching roles, and working on the ground
Experience operating a bucket truck
Experience in articulating crane assisted removals
Proficiency in technical rigging
Proficiency in performing tree care and pruning in accordance with ANSI standards
ISA Arborist and/or Tree Climber certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hiring
Clean Drivers license or Class B CDL license or ability to obtain within 12 months of hiring
Good physical condition and ability to repeatedly lift 75# throughout the course of a workday
Ability to pass a drug test
We currently work 4 10 hour days a week, and a half day on maintenance.
We do respond to storm events and we expect our employees to be able to work these events as needed.
Pay ranges from $16-$25 per hour depending on skills and qualifications.
