Arm chaps: lame or awesome?

I got a bit scratched up the other day when I was working in short sleeves. I bet Arm Chaps would have helped, or a long sleeved shirt. You'll look ready for the Leather crowd at the local men's bar.

Maybe if they had the Sham-Wow material on the inside.

That Sham-Pow guy was a fonny! Stick with the original odsorbe-ese, By the late Billy Mays!

I two have thought allot of buying them, I'll check out that site.
Any body use them? Do they drive you nuts, or not that bad?

10 minutes on an 80 degree day and they'd be back in the truck.
Might be good for chipping multifloral rose and briers. After a couple weeks of wearing short sleeves my for arms are like leather anyway.

Its this new innovation called sleeves... you can get them in something really light like under armor that breaths really well, just get a light color, white or grey works best in summer for me.

Yeah.....um,....no, sorry. I really don't recommend those in some parts of the country!! You might be sending out a certain kind of message!
Of course that message could bring in alot of biz,... a certain kind of biz...Anyway! (Hey, that kind of biz works for me but I am just saying...)(Well, not sure what I am saying now...but there you have it!)
If you want to be cool (but Hot!) get some biker sleeves, you can probably get away with those...or just long sleeves as above!
Answer=L.
But I must say that I personally would just LOVE any coworker who wore those! They would make my day. Really.

I would probably have a bit of a giggle if i saw someone wearing leathers on their forearms.

Arm chaps: Lame. Sorry. Just my opinion...

The Blue Ostier Bar may have a totally different opinion. So, my opinion may not be valid.

i love the pics of the guy free climbing the tree with his "chicken strap" over his shoulder, no hard hat............ but he's got his f'n arm chaps on.

They're good for some of my work. Dealing with barberry, blackberry, locust, etc. for several hours at a time...

Sleeves have no chance. I've got enough scars...

Thanks,
Dave

You've got it rough then. Do you ever wear motorcycle leathers? Sure, they would be hot, but that would suck working with them thorns.

I occasionally work with Hawthorn, Russian Olive, and very rarly Honey Locust or Black Locust. My policy with thorned trees is like the rule for porcupines mating: Very carefully.
