Are you afraid to die?

Yes or no... Why?

I am not afraid to die.

I would however, like to continue to live a while in this wonderful life, before I die.
No fear, more excitement, because I feel (intuitively) we (spirits) are ALL going back to the same place.
The One source we are ALL from...GOD
Some religions might make you feel or even believe differently.

Why do so many people have fear death? The fear of death comes from two beliefs:
Existentialism:When we die, we disappear.
Religion:When we die, we will be punished for our sins. God is judgmental and we will end up in hell or purgatory for eternity.

Why care? Because no one can prove what happens. The unknown. We can how ever accept the unknown.

You can choose to believe whatever you want to believe. Why believe something that makes you feel terrified? Why not choose to believe in what makes you feel loved and safe?

I quoted some stuff from Margaret Paul, Ph.D.

I used to believe in reincarnation, still do, just different. I thinks mayhap the soul-force continually manifests in endless forms. Similar to water. Condense, precipitate, runoff, collect, evaporate....

Like you said Frash ALL ONE!

Have you read "The Kybalion" ?

You might dig it

I'm not afraid of dying, but I do fear how I will die. I don't want a long drawn out death with tubes and drool and piss pans. Nor do a want a short, fear-filled death a la drowning or animal attack. Quick and painless preferably; I don't want to see it coming.

Animal attack is high on my list of preffered ways to go. Mountain lion number one.

A perfect hell for me would be singing praises 24/7 to a jealous God.

Being afraid of death is a normal evolutionary response.

Death will be like it was for you before you existed.

Even with it's ups and downs, life is fine.

Dive right into it, else you'll find,

it'll pass you by.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with being afraid.
It is natural.
It is a point however one can move on from, if they chose.

This is nice...

Hmmmm....where to start?

Yep, that sounds much worse than boiling in hot lava and wishing for a death that never comes. But hey, maybe you're one of those dudes with a real, real high tolerance for pain.

Kinda blanket statements don't you think? To whittle down the reasons people are afraid to die into just two silly categories. What about people who are afraid of the 'act of dying'? Has nothing to do with the worry of disappearing. Has nothing to do with a "judgmental God".

Those bronze age sheep herders sure imagined up an ugly God.
Nonsense really. A real God would have a good laugh.

Hell is other people.
(Sartre from No Exit, a great read BTW.)

Here's a pretty song:

So some of you guys are afraid of pain?
Honestly never thought of being afraid of owning pain,( the pain owed to you from your karma) let alone the pain in the act of dying. Yet self preservation is still strong within me.

For real, I've been so hurt, the worst injuries hurt then least. Broken bones just hurt less upfront, but less longer when worked out over the payment terms.

It's the whip to the tip of your ear that is more debilitating in the moment.
