Arbortec Tree Hog Fixed Bollard

Finally went over to American Arborist and picked up a fixed bollard to compare against the porties for rigging. I will keep you guys informed on my thoughts. Any of my local guys who would like to try it and comment just send me a pm. I am sure you will give it more use in a day than I will in a month, lol.

Reasonable price point. Don't think too much of the ratchet straps though.

I'll let you know how they are after I try them. I figured on removals I can always notch the trunk. I will take some picks when I set it up.

Me too. It's a very slow process. I only work on it when I have time and I know they won't be around. They keep insisting on paying me and when I decline or run out of the house they find ways of sticking money in my truck or in my gear. I appreciate the gesture but it kind of defeats the purpose. Old people probs, lol.

Got some pics of initial setup trial, 10 wraps with 1/2" line.

Nice. What's the bollard diameter?

Bollard is 3-1/2 inches. Tie offs are 1". Pins are 3/8". Fairlead is 1/2".

Time will tell. It does seem sturdy though. The one thing I might add would be a lower spot for a safety chocker. I don't think all fixed bollards have them but I recall somewhere on here that is a nice option just incase.

Is it locally sourced by the matlack street guys? I've not seen any advertisements for it anywhere.

They are the only folks I have seen advertising it, other than Arbortec.
