All About Trees is a reputable tree service company located in North West Louisiana and East Texas Area, providing quality tree services to commercial and residential customers.

All About Trees is seeking for an experienced sales arborist with at least 3 years of experience estimating/bidding tree work to fill in our open position.

Must Have: Positive attitude, be good with customers, 3 years of experience estimating tree work, goal oriented, valid driver’s license, clean background, clean appearance, good amount of knowledge in the industry.

Duties: Meet with existing and new customers to determine scope of work, meet crew when necessary to secure scope of work, generate tree work when season is slow, always be seeking for new potential customers, work late hours when necessary, give client professional expertise.

If you have experience estimating tree work, know trees and are good with customers, this is at least a good $50k-$70k a year starting opportunity. This a good opportunity for a sales arborist to grow with a reputable tree service company.

Respectfully, tree service companies that label themselves as reputable should make an effort to follow ANSI Z133.1 Safety Requirements for Arboricultural Operations. The videos posted on your web site demonstrate work practices that could be characterized as reckless and are not in compliance with accepted standards.

Sorry AllAboutTrees, I am AllABoutSafety. It appears you have a good thing going in your area.
BUT.....your video has men running saws and a chipper without ANY PPE. IMO, a climbing saw is just that. But if it is used on the ground bucking out limbs, get 2 hands on the saw (any saw), wear chaps, hard hat, eye protection and ear protection.
We are all in this amazing profession together and safety should NEVER be compromised. When one of us do compromise it, that reflects on the whole industry.
Your job opening was posted and the web site was too, it was a invitation for me to check it out because of your post.
Sorry if this seems harsh. Not sorry if it helps motivate a remedy to the problems on the videos.

For the money you are talking about potentially paying a salesperson, you would need a professional. No sales professional would look at your first video and want to be a part of that.

Take some time to make a video and have all of the necessary PPE on at all times. Then, continue to demand that your employees wear the PPE at every jobsite. It may sound difficult, but that is step 1 in building a reputable company.

I am sure he can find some cowboy to work for lots of money too... Just because its a good wage doesn't mean he has to hire a good person.

You ever try to sell $700,000 - $800,000 worth of tree services by yourself?

I'm sure you can find some "cowboy" that will work for lots of money, but probably not one that will earn lots of money.

On the other hand, the ppe issues are paramount
and the airspade video segments are, to say the least,
unhelpful if not discouraging.

and, truth be told, a certain vision
of Southern Chain Gang Hell was left
permanently adhered to my mind
both when I looked at it before I went to bed
and once again when I awoke.
