Anything in or near Indiana?

I would love to start competing. I need to figure out were to start. I don't have the means to make to the East Coast. I saw that Indiana Arbor Society holds one but it is not posted yet. So if you can give me any input, please do. I am in Anderson, just north of Indy, so if anyone is near me, I could use to learn a few things that could help me compete. I don't care if I win or even place I just want to take part! Thank You!

August 21, Michigan will be holding our TCC at Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan. You wouldn't be able to compete in the Master's... but would be more than welcome to come and compete in the perlims! Great guys there, that would more than welcome you. Could also come for the conference prior if you were interested - going to be some rigging and climbing sessions offered. Registration isn't open yet... but can check out more on:

Hope to see you there (even if you do compete in Indiana, we usually have a few guys from out of state).

Illinois Arborist Tree Climbing Competition at Lake Ellyn in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Lots of good people and good fun, I had a blast at last years being a tree tech. Truly a great bunch of people, I could not say enough great things about them.

Also, don't forget about the Ohio Tree Climbing Championships. This popular event will be filled 100% with Ohio guys by the registration deadline, but it would be fairly close, and a great event to be a tech at and really learn the tips and techniques to help you out when you step in the ring for the real deal.

You can see the website at www.ohiotcc.com

If you want to volunteer let me know and I will get you a good spot.

Thank all of you, I have been checking out some of these links. I am learning some good stuff. I was just checking on getting certified. I can just click here and download a copy of the handbook. And there is six different levels of certifications. But there are things that are unclear. Can you go to another state and just compete? I take it some have limited spots open. So are any unlimited? Ya, no I am glad for this site, because all sites are just unclear about things if you dont allready no about it, and they dont give you enough recourses. Thanks guys! Keep it coming!

Hey Tanner the competition will be held in Indiana I believe in October. Where abouts in Indiana are you at? I will keep you posted on when for sure the Indiana comp is. It's supposed to be back at forest park in Noblesville.
