Anyone using the Hayauchi with Sintung?

I might just pick out a 1.75” pruner head, but if the Sintung will really cut 2” softer woods, I’d buy the 21’ Hayauchi pole saw and the pruner head. There’s 15% off Silky stuff at Wesspur now, I think too.

Any words on the durability of the pole itself?

Thanks for any feedback.

Durability.....you can bend them - I have. That being said I'm still using my original pole that I've had for 6 or 8 years or longer and have a brand new one sitting in the shed waiting to take its place if/when I tweak it too badly for service.

The Sintung I view as soft. I could easily damage it. The cutter can misalign and when it does it can easily be 20 or more feet away from you. I view it as an "occasional" pruner. Used to make some touch up cuts so I don't have to re-climb a tree to put on those finishing cuts for perfection. Maybe that's two snips or maybe it's forty but I don't think of it like a Marven pruner or something that I could pick up and prune all day without any issue other than lubrication.

I have replaced that head once or twice over the years because I tweaked it badly enough that I thought a new one would perform better - and hey, so and so has them on sale. I have an extra one of those in the shed too.

For making money and getting work done I find it to be a very valuable tool in my pruning focused business. It goes out with me most days. And, yes the cutter will do a two inch cut here and there.

Was stoked to find a like new head on EBay for 50$. Gotta figure out an adapter to put it on Jameson poles. Shouldn’t be too tricky.
First impression is the lopper blade looks nice and well made, and the rest looks kinda cheap and flimsy. I’ll put it to work for a while though. If it can really cut 2” diameter softer stuff like silver maple and keep a decent edge throughout some hours, I’ll be happy.

It can do 2 inches. AND it is light/cheap.

Not made to be a heavy duty, all day, hard use tool. It's made to sit out at the end of 21 feet of light and whippy pole.

Bartlett (?) has similar shaped poles that I bought a short "feral" for but haven't adapted it to any of my round poles yet.

I bent my last 21 foot Hyuchi by cutting 2 inch redwood tips when my ratcheting mechanisms spring was missing - no ratchet - equals too much torque on a straight cut.
