anyone tried these?

popped down my local outdoors shop today for a new flask, saw these and couldn't resist them at only £15
haven't tried them out yet, wondered if anyone here had tried them

I could see the use of these add ons if I had to work in trees that were covered in packed or icy snow. Of course I'm aware off bark and cambium damage. Most times, if the trees are full of ice or snow I wait a day or two and they're clear again. But there might come a time that a storm comes through and we don't have the luxury of waiting.

actually i was thinking about taking the studs off them
the rubber seems pretty sticky like a rock climbing shoe
could be good for those wet days up sycamores and the like
