image.webp Not sure what I'm more upset over, they fact that they're cut (only about a month or two old) or the fact that I have zero clue when or how it happened? I can't remember making a chainsaw cut near my foot. It's a fairly clean cut. Thinking maybe I could stitch it then put some sort of adhesive on it. Any ideas? They're Salewa Mt Trainer Mid Gtx, and I can't find anymore my size for the price I got em for lol. :(

image.webp Use a product called seam grip
I use all the time your boots will be stronger then new also good on rain gear

Not a chance, about to order another pair lol. Still got 12s for $155USD where I bought these. I love them. I'd like to have another pair for that price just so I dont have to pay $200 for some stupid new color.

The pic is misleading. The cut goes all the way through the leather and rubber and stops just outside the gortex layer. I think it'll rip open and run if I don't stitch it some how. I just don't know exactly what I need to do it with. I'm thinking some sort of hooked needle like they use to stitch people, except heavy and will go into a handle awl of some sort.

Go to harbor freight and get a quick stitch sewing awl ( like $6) it should work fine.wp_ss_20160917_0001.webp

That's what the plan is. Looked at Walmart. They say they carry em, but apparently it was ship to store, not in stock.

May check one other place before heading up to HF (30min drive)

Stitched it today with the Michaels brand of Speedy Stitch. It looks hideous. Hopefully it'll hold it and keep it from spreading. The slice was clean but of course not being able to come from the inside, it raised a seam.
