Anyone Mod Their Chipper to Add a Winch?

What brand chipper? I have a winch project i started, hanging out in the barn. Bandits winch kit is just shy of 5k if they paint it for you, if you have a bandit...

Mount it to your machine. Paint. Needs pillow block bearings as I stole them for my firewood conveyor. I have a bunch of hydraulics with it. I'd take 500. The hydraulic motor was 300 alone.

Yes it was being designed to fit my old woodsman but can probably work on something else. If your a good welder fabricator it needs some finishing touches.

No, my welds generally don't hold. Well maybe for a month or two :) I want to learn but I'm a jack of too many trades already.
But I got a guy, close by, who has had a lot of trees pruned for free. We barter all the time. He does good work.

I'd be interested in checking that out. I'll send you a PM.

I've thought about having a winch arm welded to the chipper but with only a place to attach a swivel pulley. Then have some fairleads made to a place on the machine where you could attach one of those honda gas winchs. They aren't the strongest, but the portability could be handy. Not sure his feasible this would be.

Brendon,
If everyone in front of me decides to pass then I would like to speak with you about this. Seems like you had once posted a picture of yours a while back but I didn't have any luck finding it. For anyone that is interested, I've attached the only thing I could find for a 730 winch on the net here... :27 and 3:53 show pretty good shots of the winch if you don't want to watch the entire thing... I did enjoy Graeme McMahon's comment at the end though.
