Anyone a welder/fabricator?

Hello world hope this is the right place to put this thread, I’ve been very interested in the idea of having an ascender on my hooks for those random times that I think would help. I’ve seen CT makes some sort of universal adaptor for any shank but it looks cumbersome and I don’t want to couch up money for kiwis but curious if anyone has suggestions or knows anyone who could do that type of work I have an old pit of steel Buckinghams (my dads old pair) that I normally run and I think would’ve a good investment to have one put on those!
