Another saw pants thread

chiselbit

Been here a while
I’m looking for a new pair of saw pants and can’t find any information on the height of the protective stuffing. As in : does it cover the groin area? I’ve been wearing the Husqvarna tech pants and really liked them but the last 2 pairs ripped out under the butt within a month. And the protection only goes up to the top of my thigh. I think my leg could withstand a bit of saw gnawing but it wouldn’t take much above my thigh to ruin my day. And once that thought entered my head I can’t stop thinking about it, which pants cover your crotch?

I just ordered some zero gen 2 with the calf wrap, I have the husqvarna technical as well 2 pairs the first was decent rips kinda easy but it was all me snagging then on something, the second pair sucked I lifted my leg to get onto the tree they tore finally got around to start stitching that up for the second tone and the ass seam was already starting to split probably only 20 or so days on them.

So you're wanting some full frontal, eh?

With strong encouragement from my wife, I recently pried open my wallet and bought some Clogger Zero Gen 2 pants. The protection goes to the waist. I'm guessing that's standard for good pants.
I have some first gen cloggers, liked them well enough but they rode up in the crack of my ass all day and didn’t like that. Plus they were kinda low riders. Has that changed with the new ones?

Yep. Same experience with the tech’s. First couple pairs lasted a long time, over a year,,, quality went down hill it seems.

I'll say no. They're certainly snugly contoured in the butt crack and sit somewhat low. I wear a 30 in jeans and got the XS Cloggers. I would not want them any tighter in the waist or butt.

I’m enjoying the clogger ascend pants much better in the ass crack department, and way more durable! I can wear them 11-11.5 months of the year, but that’s COASTAL pnw.. we normally don’t see 90 degrees BUT humid!!

Pegging and wedgies are two different things entirely lov
I've never heard "pegged" used as slang. Interesting. Maybe it's a regional thing. Or, more likely, it's because I'm older and not part of the hip crowd anymore. On the other hand, wedgies were a thing when I was in grade school

I know. Messing up my perfectly good saw pants thread.
The pfanner gladiator pants have saw protection in the crotchial region. I remember it in the Stein as well but I don’t think those are making anyone’s xmas list anymore. Solidur, Breatheflex, all have protection up to the waist on the front from what I remember.

Nice. Thank you

Possibly used in different circles than you may circulate in.
