tempting very tempting. Too bad i would lose alot of money taking off work for it. I'll be looking for next year when I get some good vacation days.

Page 26 of the catalogue.

At the Morris Arboretum. I had one of my first rigging classes there with Bill Graham (did you know him Mark?) and Jim Ort (?). Late 80's.

Sounds great. I would encourage people to go even if they have to miss work. I still remember and use things I learned in that class.

Sorry, guess I could have mentioned that.

But its helped to keep bumping this thread to the top.

If I wasn't getting married and just bought a bunch of new gear I would still have to think about it. Its atleast 600 bucks for me to attend both days. *gets a bank loan to get to the class*

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

Mark, so you'll be doing a TD on day 2? Big tree?

Sounds real interesting. Probably the only thing worth skipping a coupla days of treework for is to watch a coupla days of it.

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

I'll second that! If you are thinking the price is too high you would be wrong. A wealth of info for experienced and inexperienced tree workers.

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

If i wasn't risking not making rent and gas for work i deffinatly would be going. Its a decent price but its just ourside of my reach. My fiance's parents live close to there and would be easy for me to crash there for those days. But it would make me eat PB&J for a few months for dinner and the Mrs. wouldn't like that.

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

Cory,

That is the plan. We do 1 day climbing and 1 day rigging. The site determines how big the tree is, but we will be limited with the small crew. We start each day inside with PPT and pics, then demonstrate and discuss. It is informal so that we can field questions and take requests all day long.

Jerry and Tony, you guys stop it! You are making me feel important.
