Anybody own A 72’ tracked lift that has had issues with the wire drive controller? My wire was constantly breaking internally and at $400 a piece, it gets costly. Not to mention the down time.

Yes zip tie 6” before the plug to the controller and the machine, make sure to hold the controller in a way that doesn’t put pressure on the cable as it enters the plug on the controller side. The weight of the cable is enough to stress the cable to plug connection on the controller side. Got through one cable before figuring that out.

I built a remote for mine. No more wires. It finally got to where replacing the wires wasn’t working. Something shorted further upstream in the harness. It was getting very expensive and I was tired of the down time. It works from at least a 100 feet away now. It’s allot safer loading and unloading too. Distance is safety.

Is there a market for this? Anybody out there own a 72’ that would want a remote? I’m trying to determine if building them in a “plug and play” package would be a market I could tap.

I don’t own the lifts I run so I can’t say if there’s a market. I agree that a remote would be safer but the price point is pretty key. Zip tieing the cables has done well to keep them from failure.
