I’ve been using crkt’s bear claw. I’ve tried numerous over the year, and think I’ve lost about 4 of them since I was 16.
I’ve tried the serrated and strongly dislike them, much preferring the normal edge. Pain to sharpen, and not good for all tasks due to the shape. But bomber for packages and general utility.. also ROPE!

Benchmade. Super stout knife. Can’t remember the name of it but: Push button open, a safety to lock open/close, partial serrate tanto blade. The handle is stout enough it makes a good hammer too… It’s really easy to operate, lock/unlock, open/close one handed too.IMG_2850.jpegIMG_2851.jpegIMG_2852.jpeg

I'm a practical man, when I'm not wearing chainsaw pants and doing tree work, on my belt I've always got my Leatherman Wave+ and a tiny Gerber folder that uses replaceable razor blades. It's great to have blades you can just trash and replace, instead of a fancy knife where you are worried about damaging the blade doing rough work with it.

Use a flat sharpening stone, or DMT sharpening stone, for the utility blade. Two swipes & you never need a replacement blade.

I too sharpen utility blades as mentioned above, just for the heck of it, keeps em razor shape and extends life at least 5x's

My go to while doing tree work is a de-assisted benchmade barrage. Outside of tree work i have a good assortment/collection that I enjoy rotating out. Both folding and custom fixed blades

Your Buzz-kung-fu is strong Greg!
@Serf Life – Just for fun . . . . . . .

Actually, back in the late 1960's and 1970’s I studied (played) Shaolin Kung Fu, Minna Jiu Jitsu, & Tai Chi Chuan.
The majority of people will not know that higher levels of Tai Chi involve weapons.
I still have a homemade, 3 ft long ceremonial demonstration knife (sword), in the basement (no sharp edges).

Now, back to the Post Topic EDC:
