441 like or hate?

I"ll trade out boat anchors and wheel chalks for them all day long if thats all they need! They have decent power and next to no vibration. I don't like them as well as a 440 or 460 but once you get a feel for the loose handle bar mounts I don't mind them.

I HAD one. It is very smooth and the floppy AV can be fixed with the stiffer springs that are optional. Powerwise, it might be a smidge stronger than a 372 (really, very close), but is a pound heavier and not nearly as nimble in the hands.

Looks like it depends on the saw and maybe tuning. The 441 I ran was smooth in the cut but was such a dog stock in the cut even in pine. Not even close to a stock 372xp.

Like it. If I woulda taken a close look at the complexity of the carburetor, I would have bought another 460 just to be old school a few more years. The M-Tronic took awhile to agree with me. I fired it up to do some emergency clearing at the lake, and was done so fast, the chip stored some inadvertant info. The next time I ran the saw it was fussy. We are coming to an understanding, now. I don't know if this is the type of thing for fire departments and that, based on my experience. I think she is a long winded saw by default. It needs fired up and run hard to, "Learn" what you expect.
