All good advice from the guys that are boots on the ground and I'll only add one thing. When you show up on a job with a beater truck regardless of how nice it looks, you're telling the customer that you are a cheap contractor with little or no overhead and are prepared to do cheap work.
Like it or not, people judge you on your appearance and presentation.
