hey there,

Considering selling my 2017 Avant 420 loader with 1200 on it. It works great. I have absolutely no issues with it! Simply just upgrading, can someone give me a ballpark idea of what they think that machine could be valued at? Of course I’m open to offers as well…. I live in Ontario Canada.

Thanks,
Ken

good question, honestly I have never tried one, but I’ve heard the non-hydrolic is better…once you get good…and overall heard better things about the Bmg and I think they’re a bit cheaper too?

I can’t imagine not having the control of hydraulic rotation on our timber grab.
when I had a chance to play with on our job site demo multiple machines we found the floppy no power rotation was fine for mini skid, not articulated loaders.
The bmg grapple power rotate was way too fast in movement and open close was kinda slow, that could be changed I’d bet , but we all appreciated the opportunity and operational capacity’s of the Avant timber grab best overall in head to heads competition. BmG are legit and I’m sure that you Won’t be let down with their product. Best of luck with everything!

That’s some good points, maybe I’ll look into that!

Does yours allow for rigid/ power-rotate and free-rotating?

Not too sure that amount of force before it would move. Leverage or length of the load plays a part in the action too but you can drop the tips of full loads of brush on the ground take pressure off the grapple dawgs and it will rotate without help for the rotator , or just a twitch or two on the bottom to assist is easy emough. On a fat log sometimes it doesn’t have enough power to rotate it freely and you would need to assist with manually pressure on ground with leverage choices like a floppy grapple and then there is everything in between. Now that you’ve asked I’m curious I’ll ask Avant if they have any hard numbers
Cause I sure don’t
