    Red Oaks

There's a reason I never posted that video. My climbing line snagged on a stub and sent me for a ride. Also I had no lanyard on. You should always have two attachment points while operating a chainsaw. Glad I didn't. That was very scary at the moment. Myself and the crew talked about that at the...

    Red Oaks

Heres a job we did a couple years ago. Two Red Oaks in a front yard on a very busy residental street. A bit of planning for this job. One of the trees we could reach with our boom truck the other sat around 90' away and we would need to rent a 40 ton truck crane. We decided to wreck both of them...

That was a fun talk, lots of interaction, thanks. There must be a sling on the tips of that last cut. I never noticed but it does look tip heavy.

    Ash

Wrecked this 42" Ash awhile ago, 40 ton crane with one jib. Tree sat 70'-90' away. No wires and a large landing zone made for a quick job.

    Kramer interesting crane job

Playing beat the ball is also fun, I won that game. With turns that far and the operator bring blind I hung out at rigging points far too long.

    Kramer interesting crane job

Yep, huge landing zone. They disposed of the material faster than I could bring it to them. Frustrating hearing the chipper go idle.

    Kramer interesting crane job

Very comfortable with the chart and operator. Never been to a crane job and said "this is too much crane".

    Kramer interesting crane job

At the spar we were good for 10,000 lbs. the tree had a huge spread, farthest limbs were down to 3,500 lbs. still amazing considering those were 190' away.

    Kramer interesting crane job

When I looked at the job it was in November , client pulled the trigger in April and requested to be there. She had limited dates as she travels a ton. I would have much rather done it in the dormant season, needed to meet clients request.
