They are keyrings.
When I bought a few of the knockoffs that TS made I had supplemented the hardware with key rings and larger rings off of a bulk bag on Amazon.
I ended up giving a couple away as TCC prizes so I wanted to make sure they tested as expected. These rings were not the high end...
My favorite lanyard is the simple Drayer lanyard that treestuff used to have.
They made a copy which lacked the hardware.
As of recent Wesspur is carrying something very similar to the original. Check it out.

This is a great deal! I have a pair of these that I love. I paired them with the climb rite pads and they're a great alternative to a set of geckos as far as weight and durability.
Right on. :)
I actually ended up having to get my commerical auto through a different broker my local agent refferred me to. But the local farmers agent was able to handle the GL and E&O in this case at least.
Wow, a little argumentative?
No, but my agent handles other insurance providers who do. I believe our GL policy is through Red Sheld, and our E&O is through Loyd's, London.
Man I'd be pissed.
Our agent didn't file the paperwork on time last renewal too because they hadn't received my check. They asked for it late, and I'd let them know it would be sent by bank bill pay check. Being a customer of 7+ years I'd think they'd extend the courtesy of just renewing it. I...
I've had decent success with some of the wired kits from Amazon for $50-80
That's backup only.
For recording, I found a set for 500-600 that had sideview too. Seemed like the Cadillac.

TWO-WAY, as in ascent / descent?
Does that mean any ascender device that doesn't not allow descent immidiately would be disallowed? I.e. foot / knee ascender?
There a ton of great conversation here!
Using a FA force reducer device like an ASAP is one option for working on two ropes. Another which seems more practical in many cases is two tensioned lines. Both are main, and both and backup. It would fall under the work positioning section of the EU...
Here's an excellent conversation on the recent Aerial Rescue Challenge - ARC between Dan Holliday and David Stice (Nice Guy Dave).
Well worth the listen for every arborist.

Here's an excellent conversation on the recent Aerial Rescue Challenge - ARC between Dan Holliday and David Stice (Nice Guy Dave).
There is some discussion throughout the recording on twin rope systems.
Well worth the listen for every arborist...
The twin tension system as I understand it isn't a solution for a questionable anchor point.
It does reduce risk of a rope failure, most like during cutting, and it provides options for preventing a slide down the trunk on only a lanyard.
Work position vs fall arrest does not preclude requiring two ropes in a tree.
That screenshot earlier in the thread of the Euro rules describes how both classes of fall protection require two ropes.
The widow Maker channel idea is a valid consideration for each jobs hazard assessment.
I...
A cool little experiment / science project we got to do last week when the rest of our project got shut down by a big bald faced hornet's nest.
Comment with your estimates of weight, and peak line tension. Details are in the text of the original post.

@Brocky . That image you posted about work positioning and fall arrest on the first page... Is that a general at height rule, or one specifically being applied to arboriculture?
It is classing the two types of fall prevention systems seperately, and I see no reason the twin tension system I...
So, this is similar to a concern someone got into deep conversation with Troll about...
Why is fall arrest the necessary classification? If there's not a chance of a fall >2' (my understanding of when fall arrest is called for), then there shouldn't need to be a shock absorber. In a twin...
I can't find video of Jeff's talk on twin tension systems. I'll link it if one gets posted.
It is NOT the end all solution for two ropes in the trees, but it seems to be the most practical for using two ropes for work positioning in a tree. More R&D needs to happen by us...
Example of a two rope rescue in clear space. Not an extremely frequent type of rescue for an arborist, but it shows some common rope access type of rescue types.
