    This should make things clearer! I've streemlined the system though, using only the modified seat section, plus my climbing system and choked lanyard to advance up the stem.

    (for those who do!! ) :cool: New rig for shinning up Washingtonias... (Idea stolen from some guys down in Maui. ((...you know who you are.)). I just modified the otherwise useless butt-seat to create a lighter and more compact version.

    Nice! Had somthing like this set Up for tensioning tarps. Added a large key ring loop between the supporting rope and that last 'zag'. Made for quick tug'n'set! Concept might apply here brother!!

    Yip!! ...It's just that!! I've found, in my limited experience with the lock jack, (only a couple of ground based tests) that it's equally uncontrollable as the positioner. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't own one, or know a climber who does so I can't say ...or test. Anyone? I'de be interested to know.

    Stitched eyes only though, no splices. Should I be worried? Would these eyes still be rated for life support when stressed internally in directions unintended in its original function? Maybe girth hitching a loop of OP over the hoop & biner would be more sure??
