Thanks Levi! I think I like the all green one as well. The squirrel definitely embodies my energy :)
I have never been so stressed with getting everything started but every time I hop in the truck to head to my own work it makes it worth it. I’m still four days with the other company and...
Here is what I’ve been working towards in the past three months. LLC formed, insured, logo is in the first iteration. Chipper was acquired today, spending the morning getting to the brush I had left from my last job.
Similar to pin oaks in that respect to trimming back to laterals?
And the shredder effect of bark and slappy branches when you take them to the chipper haha
Opsal caddie pads are the bees knees. And just use the straps you have there already. Maybe you can put Velcro straps on em. Arbsession may have an option for that.
Arbsession has a bundle on BMPs many options. Sprung for it.
Just grabbed a used copy of shigo tree biology dictionary. Really cool.
Stoked for you @Matias,
I am a few steps behind ya on getting the gumption to sign up for the test.
It looks pretty stripped down, for better or worse. No lift cylinder for feed wheel intake. Direct drive, so no clutch. Gas 4 cyl. Kubota. Again not sure about that. The UK versions all seem to have a diesel option.
Weight is quite light, moveable with one person (flat ground obviously)

Has anyone had experience with this unit?
Dealer near me has a .4 hr machine at their yard. Spec’d at 31k$. 8” capacity. Kubota Gasser. Sadly no diesel option in the states??
Exciting to build this chip box. First moves towards more self sustaining tree work.
Flying Moss Tree Preservation (work in progress)
Still working the full time job with the company but this is what I can get started with limited funds.
Boards were milled from my cousins fir trees. Fence...
I have been using my cheapo harbor freight Chicago electric(?) chain grinder only for the nano stuff and it has been great for that, 25-26 degree cutter angle. I have both set up on my 200t and the 540ixp. The rakers are a pain but at least it’s only a 16” bar and chain. And a good clean flat...
Bdb with elongated bollard and swivel has been my no brainer device on bifrost. I have been going between that and the hhxf for spar work, love both easy to go from moving rope to single line and bomb out of the tree if need with a choked anchor.
Spam spam spam. I love spam.
And more so, I love Monty Python’s flying circus. So much so, my wife and I had a Monty python themed wedding. With a spam decorated cake!
Ha, there is a skit from the show “Impractical jokers” where they are waiters at a restaurant and they start charging customers a fussy fee. It’s pretty hilarious.
“Ah I see you’ve been charged the fussy fee…”
Bumping this thread. Any more experience that folks have had? Arbsession has it in stock but does not have the specs for the passable splice. Fine with me as I don’t use a zz or anything that would need it.
Price is still up there
