Carl, What is the link to your online store? Also how is that mini-stumper attachment doing in the long haul? Those purchases were not in the budget last year but this year, I am going to make them happen.
What is wrong with a pair of light duty boots for pruning and raking the yard and heavy workers for the big jobs? both are in my bucket truck. I choose the appropriate boot for the job.
I mean if someone wants to bid every tree the same no matter what then find the worst one figure out want its going to take to make a fair wholesale profit then hand them that bid per tree. call all your competitors and tell them to do the same. Those bid specs will change fast and in a hurry...
yep you have to specify that you want the american made ones and expect to pay for them. I usually get 12-18 months out of a pair before the leather starts to go. I use the loggers for all my tree work except pruning as i have a pair of salewa's that I'm using just to be ready for comp.
and i wouldn't care if they sent me to do a notch and drop bradford that $3000 per tree or whatever would be the price. after a year they would change their tune and change the bid specs
personally i would find the worst tree to remove and grind and then find the worst tree to prune, then put a profitable wholesale rate on the work and set that as my price to do any removal or prune
A guy that came to work for me 6 months ago didn't listen and bought some low end hikers and paid good mont for them, now thew are torn to bits and he is looking to get a new pair of boots three months later
The american made redwing logger insulated with a steel toe. Good for ground work and amazing for spur work especially if you get and additional plastic insert like a good foot insole
Mike i had a pair of these for a year. The uppers were starting to show wear but the bottoms were completely worn out. I wish i could get these with a better sole something like the evo
to me it is based on weight -500lbs light rigging, 500lbs-1000lbs medium, 1000-2000lbs heavy, +2000 radical
for me it only gets radical blocking big wood. I would like to work with someone as a groundie who gets radical with crown material just to see what that looks like. I have hung my share...
i use a porty in the tree all the time when flying in the bucket. it is quick and dirty and works well in a smooth three man operation. one roper/cutman, one climber/bucket op, and one guy moving debris with the mini-skid
