    Not sure if it's mandatory but it is nice if you don't do an invisible lock stitch. You defiantly need to lock stitch it. Congrats on your first splice. It's lots of fun and can become habit forming.

    Good post and good work from the surgeon. Good reminder to never get complacent or sloppy. Looks like he might have been reaching across his body with right hand and possibly holding on to what he was cutting with his left. Wont really know what happened, but I would say one hand cutting for sure.
