I love this. This is me to a T. Double bagging I learnt at Geezers in 2013. It opened my eyes quickly to how shit I was. I can now handtoss pretty good. Still engage a bigshot at times, but I will handtoss mostly. Comps really improved my climbing being around folk way better than I.
RR ain't much without a pulley in my humble opinion.....will see how the vertec plays out. At geezers I will be able to try it out see what is up. Live oaks are great for runners.
Well you can get the 8mm from Honey Bros. It is even better. I have had it. Wish I never got rid of it. But I prefer the beeline. It flies through the canopy.
First of all I have no experience with the RC grapple, but I have with a captain. I use 50ft of 8mm beeline spliced at wesspur. It flies and very accurate. I can even throw up and away and land a shot. I will hand the captain on my harness and drag that tail through the canopy like a climbline...
I have the T536i. Love that little thing for pruning with 12" bar. And I also have the Stihl MSA220T. Which is a great saw with 14" bar. They each have their uses. I store batteries in my truck and switch out as one dies.
Honestly the Apex just has no slickpin. So easy on and off. I do not adjust it. I adjust hitches. For different ropes. I still use my other 2 wrenches. But they have worn in slickpins.
I pack everything in my Camp 70l bombproof climbing bag. I just keep it under 50. And I also keep everything streamlined. I have been all over. UK, Canada and the US and Caribbean. Always the same. Handsaws too. I check it all. I do it so often it is second nature now. The Camp is my latest bag...
